Keith Byrd 
With over 20 years of experience in the parcel industry, Keith has an extensive understanding of shipping processes, contract negotiation and account management. In 1988 Keith began his career with United Parcel Service as a delivery driver. After only one year, he quickly entered the ranks of UPS management in Operations. In the early 1990's, Keith was promoted into Business Development. While in Business Development, he held various senior sales management positions including a one-year special assignment at UPS Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta, GA, helping design and implement a company-wide program called Service Recovery. Throughout his career with UPS, Keith successfully completed situational sales negotiation training specific to the transportation industry. Additional sales training included SPIN Selling, Making Major Sales, Professional Presence, International & Domestic Services, Revenue Management, Pricing, Marketing, Financial Logistics, etc.
Keith co-founded Transportation Impact, with an innovative business model that would enable clients to reduce shipping costs and reinvest in their business. Transportation Impact specializes in contract benchmarking, distribution analysis and carrier negotiations. As a partner at Transportation Impact, Keith helps companies negotiate world class and market competitive contracts with small parcel carriers. Transportation Impact enables clients to save money, obtain better discounts and find hidden areas of opportunity where cost savings are overlooked. Transportation Impact draws its insight, knowledge and information from a staff composed largely of former senior sales and pricing managers from UPS and FedEx.
Before beginning his career with UPS Keith proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. Keith holds a degree in Business Management from La Salle University.
Travis Burt
With over a two decade long career with UPS in both sales and operations, Travis brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to the Transportation Impact Team. Travis began his career with UPS in 1985 as a part time unloader. Advancing through operations, he worked with driver dispatch, peak season center planning and as a package driver. During his time in operations, Travis attended numerous national schools and workshops to further his understanding and knowledge of the industry.
In 1991 Travis transitioned into sales as an Account Executive, where he consistently exceeded sales targets and ranked in the top percentiles in both revenue management and contract compliance. With outstanding performance and an extensive knowledge of the parcel industry, Travis achieved assignments including Hundredweight Account Executive, National Account Executive and Senior Account Manager. Over this period, Travis perfected the abilities to implement streamlined process and negotiate with remarkable effectiveness. These abilities enabled him to capture and maintain multiple strategic accounts in the Southeast Region.
Through his long-standing involvement with Rotary International, Travis served in an exchange program with UPS Europe. Working in both operations and sales on this assignment, Travis gained perspective that has enabled him to bring unique and creative ideas to solving problems and improving negotiations.
Travis co-founded Transportation Impact. With his background in both sales and operations and his extensive industry knowledge, Travis has helped catalyze the strong growth and success seen at Transportation Impact. In addition to management and sales responsibilities, Travis leads company initiatives integrating new technology and processes, improving our ability to serve our customers.
Travis currently serves as the Coastal Plains Chapter President of the North Carolina World Trade Association. Travis graduated from East Carolina University.
